Girls in Aviation Day, St. Louis Downtown Airport

Posted by & filed under Careers, Community News.

AeroNavData was very happy to participate in the Girls in Aviation Day event that took place at St. Louis Downtown Airport on Friday, Oct. 12, 2018!  More than 100 young women attended the event and had the opportunity to sit in the cockpit of airplanes and simulators.  The young women heard presentations from Aviation professionals about the importance of science and engineering and were able to talk with companies, like AeroNavData, about careers in the Aviation industry.  Jill Gass and Melissa Shantz, two of our finest Aeronautical Analysts and pilots were there to provide the young attendees with first-hand knowledge of successful and fun careers in Aviation!

St. Louis University’s Parks College of Engineering Aviation and Technology and Women in Aviation International sponsored the event to help introduce and encourage young women to seek careers in the aviation industry.   AeroNavData was so pleased to help sponsor and participate in the event and hope to continue to support Parks College and GIAD events in the future!
